QATAR UNVEILS WORLD CUP 2022 STADIUM

 

World Cup 2022 hosts Qatar have unveiled Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, which is one of the eight match venues scheduled to play host to games during the tournament. The 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar will take place over November and December 2022. The tournament will last for a period of 27 days between November 21, 2022 and December 18, 2022. The Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium was unveiled earlier in the week thus making it the fourth match venue to be unveiled for the World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar. Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium has a capacity of 40,000 and it is located in the city of Al Rayyan.

The Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium will host seven games during the World Cup 2022 tournament, and it is the match venue that tells the story of hosts Qatar. It was officially launched in December 2022 as pointed out earlier.

The stadium was built on the site of the old stadium with Hassan Al Thawadi confirming that the majority of the demolished materials have been used in building new stadiums for the World Cup 2022 tournament. It was disclosed that more than 90% of the demolished materials were employed in the building of new stadiums. The Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium has been designed in a way that it is in proximity with the other match venues. The Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium is just five kilometres from the Education City Stadium, another match venue for matches at World Cup 2022 tournament. The Education City Stadium has also been unveiled. Apart from the Education City Stadium and the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, the other two match venues that have also been unveiled are the Khalifa International Stadium and the Al Janoub Stadium.
